8th World Water Forum

18 – 23 March 2018, Brasilia, Brazil

Theme: Sharing Water

The World Water Forum is the world’s biggest water-related event and is organised by the World Water Council. Its mission is “to promote awareness, build political commitment and trigger action on critical water issues at all levels, to facilitate the efficient conservation, protection, development, planning, management and use of water in all its dimensions on an environmentally sustainable basis for the benefit of all life on Earth”.

The main theme of this 8th edition will be “Sharing Water”.

Therefore, it focuses on the issues related to the sharing of water benefits, encouraging the exchange of solutions and good practices and, in a wider context, the cooperation between countries and institutions as to the various aspects that compose the world water agenda.

The themes and topics selected for this Forum edition are intimately related to the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda and the results of the 7th World Water Forum.
